Overview of the Job
We are seeking a CCTV & Software Controller with a good background in Hikvision and a knack for troubleshooting and software configuration. You will be overseeing, debugging, and improving the operation of our cutting-edge attendance and surveillance systems from behind the scenes; this is not an installation position.
Principal Duties
- Keep an eye on and control Hikvision CCTV systems (including remote viewing, configurations, and system diagnostics).
- Set up and manage time and attendance systems, including those that use facial recognition technology.
- Develop custom software integration, task automation, and reporting capabilities for both internal and external clients.
- Perform software debugging and fault-finding on access control and CCTV systems.
- Create and modify programs or scripts in Python, SQL, and other languages to improve functionality.
- Work together with clients and internal teams to provide dependable, specially designed solutions.
Experience & Skills Needed
- Strong familiarity with Hikvision platforms and applications.
- Familiarity with time and attendance software (from any provider, but ideally with access control and CCTV integrated).
- Programming and scripting abilities in software (e.g., Python, SQL, C#, or similar).
- Outstanding system diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
- The capacity to create or modify unique security system software or programs.
- At ease using remote access tools and networked CCTV systems.
- Excellent communication skills both in writing and speaking; able to properly explain technical matters.
Location of Work
- Headquartered in the Midlands, but not limited to
- Travelling between the office and sites is necessary.
