Overview of the Job

We are looking to add a caring and committed Care Assistant to our team. The ideal applicant will offer people in a home care or assisted living environment excellent care and support. Effective communication abilities, adherence to care plans, and a dedication to improving our clients’ well-being are necessary for this position. To help with transportation demands, it is preferred to have a valid driver’s licence.

Duties

• Help clients with everyday tasks like meal preparation, personal hygiene, and medication administration.
• To guarantee that individualised support is provided successfully, adhere to individual care plans.
• Update clients on their progress and address any concerns by keeping in regular contact with them, their family, and medical staff.
• Keep thorough records of the care given, and notify the proper staff of any changes in the client’s condition.
• Encourage community involvement and assist customers with social activities.
• Follow health and safety guidelines to make sure your clients are in a clean and safe atmosphere.
• As needed, take clients to social events or appointments.

Qualifications

• While not required, prior experience providing home care or in a care home setting is preferred.
• Strong written and spoken English communication abilities.
• The capacity to work both independently and cooperatively in a group setting.
• Fundamental IT abilities for efficient record-keeping and team communication.
• When it comes to transporting customers, having a current driver’s licence is beneficial.
• A sincere enthusiasm for offering people in need excellent care and assistance.
