Love-In-Care is seeking trustworthy, compassionate individuals to help clients in their homes and, on occasion, in nearby assisted living facilities in Leeds and Yorkshire. You will assist adults, children, and senior citizens in maintaining their independence, comfort, and safety.

What the position entails

  • Personal hygiene, prescription reminders, and safe transportation and handling.
  • Meal planning, minor chores, and necessary shopping.
  • Emotional support and cordial dialogue.
  • Timely updates to professionals and families, along with well-written remarks.
  • Making necessary calls to emergency services, district nurses, or general practitioners.
  • Working independently or in tandem with another carer, adjusting to various requirements and schedules

Principal Duties

  • Personal care: assistance with dressing, grooming, toileting, and bathing.
  • Medication support: provide or promptly administer recommended medications and maintain thorough documentation.
  • Mobility assistance is the use of equipment when necessary to facilitate safe mobility and shifting.
  • Prepare wholesome meals that satisfy the nutritional requirements of each client.
  • Household chores include laundry, basic shopping, and light cleaning.
  • Companionship: provide stimulating activities, emotional support, and dialogue.
  • Keep thorough records of the care provided, any observations, and any modifications.
  • Communication: To maintain care coordination, communicate with families, medical professionals, and coworkers.
  • Encourage clients to make decisions and take care of themselves as much as possible in order to foster independence.
  • Safety and risk management: identify potential dangers in the house and take prompt action to protect everyone.

Proficiency and Experience

The Essential

  • IT, literacy, and numeracy abilities at level 2 (or above), together with a desire to learn more.
  • Experience providing care, whether paid or unpaid, to children, adolescents, or adults; knowledge of special education requirements or learning difficulties is advantageous.
  • Awareness of health and safety: The ability to finish required training and adhere to business rules and regulations.
  • Risk-assessment abilities: Identify risks and take action to protect clients and coworkers.
  • Respect and empathy: For the rights, dignity, and cultural requirements of clients and other carers.
  • Knowledge on safeguarding—for kids, teens, and adults—and a dedication to abiding by all regulations.
  • Possession of a car and a valid UK driver’s license are required for transport between appointments (mileage paid).

Types of Jobs: Permanent, Part-Time, and Full-Time

Hourly wage: £12.21.
