We are seeking a compassionate Care Assistant to join our team and deliver vital care services to those receiving home care. The role involves supporting patients with daily tasks, ensuring they are well cared for and comfortable.
Duties
- Assist individuals with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and oral care.
- Support client mobility needs within their dwellings.
- Work collaboratively with clients, families and healthcare providers.
- Administer prescribed medication.
- Offer companionship and emotional support.
- Assist with meal preparation and serving as required.
- Perform basic housekeeping to maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Engage with the community through supporting activities.
- Complete shopping errands requested by clients.
Requirements
- Experience in domiciliary care or home care settings (desirable).
- Good communication skills in English, oral and written.
- Basic IT skills for recording care activities.
- Valid driving licence and access to own vehicle; based in Cardiff or local areas.
- Patient, caring personality to interact compassionately with clients.
