We are looking for a motivated Pharmacist who cares about patients to join our community pharmacy team. The role focuses on clinical work, providing high‑quality NHS and private pharmaceutical services, ensuring dispensing is safe and effective while contributing to growth and enhanced healthcare services.
Providing Clinical Services
- Offer all NHS services, such as:
- Community Pharmacist Consultation Service (CPCS)
- Structured Medication Reviews (if they apply)
- Finding Cases of Hypertension
- Services to Help People Stop Smoking
- Vaccination programmes (e.g., flu and COVID‑19)
- Vaccinations and health consultations for travel
- Weight management plans
- Health screening services (e.g., high cholesterol or diabetes risk)
- Patient care and counselling on medications and minor health issues
Encourage early patient involvement in health and well‑being. Ensure patient privacy and safety criteria are met.
Operations and Dispensing
- Ensure prescriptions are filled safely, accurately, and quickly.
- Follow the rules set by the GPhC and your pharmacy’s SOPs.
- Help the pharmacy team manage operations, provide good service, and oversee/support pharmacy staff training where necessary.
Growth of Services
- Identify opportunities to add clinical services, develop the business by providing excellent service, and meet service goals and KPIs.
What you need – Pharmacist Job Requirements UK
- Important
- Registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) as a chemist
- Strong clinical expertise and patient focus
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to provide NHS advanced and enhanced services
- Dedication to ongoing professional development (CPD)
- Independent Prescriber qualification (or willingness to train)
- Experience providing private medical services
- Experience working in a community pharmacy or service‑led setting
- Accreditation for vaccinations
