The predicted salary is between 12 - 15 € per hour.

We are looking for caring and committed Care Workers to give excellent support and assistance to people in a variety of care settings including assisted living, nursing homes and home care. The successful candidate will have a true passion for improving quality of life for clients via attentive and individualised care. This paid work provides an opportunity to make a real impact in people’s lives and gain vital skills in the healthcare industry. Experience in patient care, dementia or Alzheimer’s care, hospice care or geriatric care is a plus.

Duties:

  • Provide individualised patient and client care, including aid with activities of daily living such as bathing, clothing and mobility assistance.
  • Administer medication as ordered and retain accurate records.
  • Help clients with meal preparation and feeding as necessary.
  • Help with light housework to maintain a safe and comfortable environment.
  • Offer behavioural management and emotional support, especially for people with dementia or Alzheimer’s.
  • Support clients with moving and handling, including heavy lifting if necessary.
  • Safely transport clients to appointments or trips with corporate vehicles or personal driving ability.
  • Look out for health changes and report concerns to doctor or family if necessary.
  • Maintain confidentiality and observe health and safety requirements.

Abilities:

  • Experience in assisted living, nursing home, or home care settings required.
  • Understanding of patient care methods, dementia, Alzheimer’s, hospice and elderly care procedures.
  • Confidence to carry out first aid operations.
  • Strong caregiving abilities with a caring attitude towards customers of all ages, including childcare if applicable.
  • Excellent behaviour management skills for those with behaviour issues due to dementia or other conditions.
  • Competency in the administration of drugs according to protocol.
  • Able to carry heavy loads safely and meet mobility requirements.
  • Valid driving license and clean driving record for client transportation duties.
  • Good communication skills with the capacity to operate individually or as part of a team.
