Role and Responsibilities – Personal Care Assistant:
- Deliver personal care and practical support to clients in their own homes in line with agreed care plans and risk assessment.
- Assist with personal hygiene, continence care, clothing, and mobility support.
- Support with medicine in accordance with policy, training, and competency required.
- Assist with nutrition and hydration needs while preparing meals.
- Promote freedom, dignity, choice, and emotional welfare at all times.
- Maintain accurate and timely care records and report any changes in needs or concerns.
- Communicate effectively with service users, families, and healthcare providers.
- Comply with protection, health and safety, confidentiality, and regulatory standards.
