As an integral part of the team, you will be involved in the whole building process from framing and finishing to installation and maintenance, ensuring that safety, efficiency and craftsmanship are maintained at every stage. Responsibilities
- Precision and attention to detail in carpentry work including construction, door and window installation and cabinetry work
- Perform roofing duties such as shingling, flashing, waterproofing and other tasks to build long-lasting, weather-proof structures
- Perform construction painting to improve visual appeal and to preserve surfaces from environmental degradation
- Install plumbing systems, fixtures, and pipelines according to drawings and safety regulations
- Construction Consulting & Contracting
- Operate welding equipment for metal fabrication and structural repairs in accordance with safety
- Use hand tools and power tools efficiently for cutting, shaping, assembling and finishing materials
Experience
- Help with fabrication work, measuring, cutting and assembling materials on site or in the workshop to satisfy project criteria
- Demonstrated competence in carpentry, roofing or general construction work is highly desirable
- Knowledge of plumbing, masonry, welding, electrical systems or other related crafts is a plus
- Practical practice with manual tools (hammers, saws, drills) and power instruments (grinders, nail guns)
- Ability to interpret blueprints or technical drawings to carry out duties accurately
- Knowledge of safety procedures for construction sites and equipment operating
- Strong problem solving skills with an active attitude to resolving various construction issues
- Experience in prior fabrication or certification is a plus, but not required; willingness to learn is needed
