About the role
We are looking for detail-oriented and organised Transport and Distribution Clerks and Assistants to support our logistics operations. This position will be responsible for shipping and receiving duties, data entry accuracy, and keeping our supply chain moving. The selected applicant will be instrumental in the smooth running of the flow of goods, using a range of logistics management tools and displaying outstanding communication skills. Responsibilities
Manage and coordinate shipping and receiving to guarantee timely delivery of products
Train Managers
Data entry and tracking should be performed using transportation management systems (TMS) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) software such as AS400 and SyteLine.
Keep precise records of inventory movement, shipments and delivery
Help analyse supply chain data to optimise distribution routes and timetables.
Use proper phone etiquette and professional correspondence to efficiently communicate with carriers, suppliers and internal teams
Complete shipment paper, labels and documentation
Support the management of logistics activities inside 3rd party logistics (3PL) providers as required
Monitor stock levels and work with warehouse personnel to ensure effective stock management.
Perform basic administrative duties linked to logistical operations, such as filing reports and maintaining databases
Demonstrated familiarity with transport management systems (TMS), AS400, SyteLine or similar ERP systems
Knowledge of supply chain processes, shipping & receiving processes and logistics principles
Strong analytical ability to analyse data for process improvement
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities including phone etiquette
Strong data entry skills and a high degree of accuracy; typing skills a must.
Experience in 3PL operations is preferred.
Organised with ability to prioritise activities in fast changing environment
Experience with logistics or distribution teams preferred but not required
Can work solo and in a team
