Are you a night owl with a passion for hospitality? We are currently seeking a dedicated and responsible individual to join our team as a Night Shift Hostel Worker in our Edinburgh-based hostel.

Responsibilities:

  1. Front Desk Operations: Manage check-ins and check-outs during the night shift, ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience for guests.
  2. Security Oversight: Monitor and ensure the safety and security of the hostel premises, addressing any concerns or incidents that may arise.
  3. Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service to guests, assisting with inquiries and requests during the night hours.
  4. Emergency Response: Act as the first point of contact in case of emergencies, following established protocols to ensure the well-being of guests and property.
  5. Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of guest interactions, incidents, and any other relevant information.
  6. Cleaning Duties: Perform cleaning tasks to keep common areas tidy and presentable.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in the hospitality industry is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and responsibly during night hours.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Basic computer skills for handling reservations and maintaining records.

Working Hours:
We are looking for someone to cover 40 hours per week.
This will be a zero hour contract.
8 hour shifts.
11pm-7:30am.
