Senior Finance Analyst – Sport Travel

Destination Sport Group is seeking a Senior Finance Analyst to join our Manchester‑based finance team. This hybrid role requires living within a commutable distance of the Manchester office, with flexibility for homeworking.

We set the global standard in sports travel, offering a holistic partnership approach. Our Group comprises seven leading sports travel companies that help millions of customers enjoy sport worldwide.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with Finance and Executive leadership to drive financial reporting in working capital, regulatory and MI areas.
  • Own and continually develop the cashflow forecasting and reporting processes, including automation and integration with banking platforms.
  • Own regulatory reporting for Destination Sport Group.
  • Develop MI and data initiatives to support finance reporting and commercial teams.
  • Own finance MI development.
  • Add insight to working capital considerations for M&A activity and ROI appraisals.
  • Serve as a key liaison between finance and the wider business, holding regular meetings with stakeholders to understand business requirements and working capital movements.
  • Work on ad‑hoc projects and improvements to sports finance processes.
  • Maximise personal skills, knowledge and experience to positively impact on performance.
  • Adhere to organisation policy and procedures on information security and safeguard data and assets.

Qualifications

  • Fully qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA).
  • Previous experience managing cashflow across a multi‑currency group of entities.
  • Previous experience with travel industry regulatory requirements (preferred).
  • Confidence presenting to senior stakeholders.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Computer literate with strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Experience manipulating and managing large quantities of data using Excel.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proactive and able to build strong relationships with non‑finance individuals.
  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
  • Good knowledge of back‑office systems.
  • Logical, consider all relevant aspects and carry out complex analysis on information.
