Destination Sport Group is a global leader in sports travel, with seven market-leading brands and millions of customers worldwide. We’re looking for an IT Infrastructure Manager to take ownership of our Group-wide infrastructure, ensuring secure, reliable and efficient IT services. This role is hands-on and involves supplier oversight and management of a small IT Support team. Some out-of-hours work will be required.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage core infrastructure: Microsoft 365, Azure, 8x8, firewalls, physical servers, Intune, Defender, Conditional Access, Mimecast, Meraki, backups, Ivanti, vulnerability scanning and penetration testing.
- Maintain documentation for all infrastructure and services.
- Support the Head of IT with strategic planning and delivery.
- Provide technical guidance to the IT Support team and wider IT function.
- Lead the IT Support team: ticket prioritisation, SLA performance, mentoring, hardware/software inventory and user experience improvements.
- Ensure compliance and risk management across ISO27001, ISO27701, Cyber Essentials Plus, PCI/DSS and Data Protection.
- Maintain the infrastructure risk register and oversee controls for backups, antivirus, firewalls, patching, capacity and system availability.
- Manage external pen testing and remediation.
- Support supplier management across Microsoft consultancy, Azure, pen testing, protective monitoring, app support, web hosting and out-of-hours support.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Experience in a similar infrastructure ownership role.
- Strong knowledge of IT Service Management (ITIL beneficial).
- Ability to manage change, risk and prioritise effectively.
- Strong communication skills with stakeholders and suppliers.
- Commitment to accurate documentation.
Essential Technical Expertise
- Hands-on infrastructure background.
- Strong Microsoft 365 and Identity & Access Management skills.
- Experience with Intune/Endpoint Manager, Defender, Purview.
- Good understanding of Azure, Windows Server, domain management and backup solutions.
Desirable
- Experience integrating systems after acquisitions.
- Multi-site or remote support exposure.
- Experience with ISO27001, ISO27701, Cyber Essentials, PCI DSS, GDPR.
- Networking knowledge (firewalls, switches, TCP/IP).
- Change Management experience.
