IT TECHNICIAN – SECONDARY SCHOOL East Finchley, North London £130 - £150 per day (depending on experience) Immediate Start Available A highly regarded specialist school in East Finchley is seeking an experienced IT Technician to join its team on a full-time basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled school-based IT professional to support staff and students across a busy educational environment, ensuring the smooth operation of the school's IT infrastructure and systems. Location & Transport LinksThe school is conveniently located within walking distance of East Finchley Station (Northern Line). Direct Northern Line access is available from: High Barnet Totteridge & Whetstone Woodside Park West Finchley Finchley Central Mill Hill East (via Finchley Central) Archway Tufnell Park Kentish Town Camden Town Euston King's Cross St Pancras Angel Old Street Moorgate Bank London Bridge Borough Elephant & CastleKey Responsibilities Provide first and second-line technical support to staff and students. Troubleshoot hardware, software, network and connectivity issues. Set up, maintain and manage desktops, laptops, printers, interactive displays and other classroom technology. Support Microsoft 365, Windows environments and user accounts. Assist with network administration and routine maintenance. Manage IT equipment inventories and device deployment. Ensure safeguarding and cybersecurity procedures are followed. Support teaching staff with classroom technology and educational software. Liaise with external IT providers where required.Essential RequirementsPlease only apply if you meet ALL of the following criteria: Previous experience working as an IT Technician within a school environment is essential. Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service is essential. Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems and Microsoft 365. Experience supporting users in a busy educational setting. Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills. Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.What We Offer Competitive daily rate of £130 - £150 per day, depending on experience.
