Destination Education are currently recruiting experienced and confident Higher Level Teaching Assistants (HLTAs) to support a range of partner schools across East London. This role suits you if you’re comfortable leading whole-class learning, delivering interventions, and working closely with teaching staff to maintain high-quality provision.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead whole-class teaching during teacher absence.
  • Plan and deliver small-group or 1:1 interventions.
  • Support teaching staff with assessment, preparation, and behaviour management.
  • Work collaboratively within year groups and wider school teams.
  • Contribute to a positive, inclusive learning environment.
Requirements
  • HLTA qualification (or equivalent experience).
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.
  • Ability to deliver planned lessons confidently.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
  • Reliable, flexible, and able to adapt to different school settings.
