Destination Education are currently recruiting experienced and confident Higher Level Teaching Assistants (HLTAs) to support a range of partner schools across East London. This role suits you if you’re comfortable leading whole-class learning, delivering interventions, and working closely with teaching staff to maintain high-quality provision.
Key Responsibilities- Lead whole-class teaching during teacher absence.
- Plan and deliver small-group or 1:1 interventions.
- Support teaching staff with assessment, preparation, and behaviour management.
- Work collaboratively within year groups and wider school teams.
- Contribute to a positive, inclusive learning environment.
- HLTA qualification (or equivalent experience).
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Ability to deliver planned lessons confidently.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
- Reliable, flexible, and able to adapt to different school settings.
- A supportive and experienced consultant dedicated to your placement.
