Destination Education, a specialist education recruitment agency, is seeking Primary Supply Teachers to work across a range of primary schools in Hackney and the surrounding areas. Whether you’re looking for ad hoc supply, part-time, or full-time work, this role offers flexibility alongside consistent opportunities in supportive school environments.
Supply teaching is an excellent option whether you are returning to the classroom after a period of time away, looking to gain experience across a variety of school settings, or an ECT seeking additional exposure to different year groups and key stages. Destination Education works in partnership with primary schools across London and the surrounding counties, meaning we may also have opportunities available closer to home if you are based outside the advertised area. ECTs are encouraged to apply.
The role:
- Day-to-day and short-term supply teaching
- Teaching across EYFS, KS1 and KS2 (depending on experience)
- Delivering pre-planned lessons and maintaining classroom standards
- Supporting positive learning environments
What You’ll Do:
- Deliver engaging and well-structured lessons aligned with the National Curriculum.
- Depending on the needs of the school, you may teach within Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2, while also supporting assessment, pupil progress tracking, and contributing to wider school activities.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience delivering the UK primary curriculum
- Confident classroom management and flexibility
- Be eligible to work in the UK
- Demonstrate strong communication, planning, and behaviour management skills
