About the Role
Destination Education is seeking a committed and confident Year 4 Primary School Teacher to join a welcoming and well-resourced primary school in Brentwood. This full-time role is ideal for an experienced Key Stage 2 teacher who is passionate about delivering engaging, high-quality lessons and supporting pupils as they continue their learning journey. The school has a strong community ethos, supportive leadership, and a clear focus on pupil achievement and wellbeing.
You will take full responsibility for the Year 4 class, working closely with teaching assistants and year group colleagues to ensure pupils make consistent academic and personal progress.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons in line with the Year 4 curriculum.
- Create a positive, structured, and inclusive classroom environment.
- Assess, monitor, and track pupil progress, providing clear feedback and next steps.
- Differentiating learning to meet the needs of all pupils, including those with additional needs.
- Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, colleagues, and senior leaders.
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to parents’ evenings and staff meetings.
- Support pupils’ academic, social, and emotional development.
The Ideal Candidate
- Holds QTS or equivalent.
- Has recent experience teaching in a UK primary school, ideally in Key Stage 2.
- Demonstrates strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
- Has excellent curriculum knowledge and the ability to differentiate effectively.
- Is committed to high expectations, pupil progress, and teamwork.
