Destination Education is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 1 Primary School Teacher to join a welcoming and well-resourced primary school in Chelmsford. This full-time role is ideal for a confident teacher who is passionate about early Key Stage 1 education and supporting pupils as they build strong foundations in their learning journey. You will take full responsibility for a Year 1 class, delivering engaging lessons that support both academic progress and personal development, while working closely with teaching assistants and the wider school team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons in line with the Year 1 curriculum.

  • Holds QTS or equivalent.
  • Has recent experience teaching in a UK primary school, ideally in Key Stage 1.
  • Demonstrates strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
  • Has excellent curriculum knowledge and the ability to differentiate effectively.
  • Is committed to high expectations, pupil progress, and teamwork.
