A welcoming and well-resourced SEN school in East Finchley is looking for a compassionate and proactive ASD Teaching Assistant to support pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder across primary and secondary age groups. The Role
- Support students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) on a 1:1 and small-group basis
- Assist with communication, emotional regulation, and classroom engagement
- Work closely with teachers, therapists, and support staff
- Help implement individual learning and behaviour strategies
- Encourage independence, confidence, and positive social interaction
- Support pupils with sensory and emotional needs throughout the school day
Ideal Candidate
- Patient, calm, and empathetic
- Passionate about SEN and inclusive education
- Experienced working with ASD, SEN, or young people (preferred but not essential)
- Confident supporting challenging behaviour when required
- A strong communicator and team player
- Available full-time during term time
