Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant with SEN experience looking for a role where your ability to build relationships, understand behaviour and support young people really matters?

We are currently recruiting for an exciting opportunity at a specialist school in Oxford , supporting young people across KS2, KS3, KS4 and Post-16 .

This is an excellent opportunity for TAs who have experience supporting pupils with SEMH, Autism, ADHD, behavioural needs and additional learning difficulties .

Helping young people develop confidence, emotional regulation, social skills and positive attitudes towards learning.
KS4
Supporting pupils through their GCSE-level education while helping them develop the skills needed for their next steps.
KS5 / POST-16
Helping young people prepare for adulthood, independence, employment and life beyond school.

?? SEN EXPERIENCE IS ESSENTIAL
The school specialises in Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) , with pupils potentially presenting with additional needs including:
?? Autism / ASC
?? ADHD
?? SEMH
?? Conduct Disorder
?? ODD
?? Speech and language difficulties
?? Moderate learning difficulties
?? Behavioural and emotional needs

All pupils have an EHCP and the school uses a personalised approach to ensure pupils are supported, valued and challenged.
We're therefore particularly keen to speak with TAs who understand that behaviour is communication and who can remain calm, consistent and relational when pupils are experiencing difficulties.

?? Has experience working with SEN pupils
?? Has supported children or young people with SEMH
?? Has experience with ASD and/or ADHD
?? Is confident managing challenging behaviour
?? Can build strong, trusting relationships

?? Understands the importance of consistency and boundaries
?? Wants to help young people develop confidence and independence

You may have worked in a specialist school, PRU, AP setting, mainstream secondary school or college if you have the right SEN experience, we'd like to hear from you.

The school is based in Blackbird Leys, Oxford , and there are a number of established public-transport routes into the area.
For candidates travelling by rail, Islip has direct trains to Oxford , with services taking around 11 minutes at their fastest.
There are also established bus connections from Oxford rail station towards Blackbird Leys, including frequent services serving the area around the school.
