About the Role

Destination Education are currently recruiting for a Nursery Nurse to work in a welcoming primary school nursery in Walthamstow. This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated early years professional who is passionate about supporting young children's development in a structured school environment. You will work closely with the class teacher and early years team to support children aged 3-4 years.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the learning and development of nursery-aged children.
  • Assist in delivering activities aligned with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
  • Provide one-to-one and small group support where required.
  • Help maintain a safe, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Support children with social, emotional, and personal development.
  • Assist with observations and progress tracking.

Requirements

  • Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Childcare / Early Years (or equivalent).
  • Experience working with children in a nursery, preschool, or school setting.
  • Good knowledge of the EYFS framework.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
