Destination Education is proud to be expanding its partnerships with a growing number of primary schools across Wellingborough and the surrounding areas. As demand for specialist classroom support continues to grow, we're looking for compassionate, dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistants (LSAs) to support children with a range of additional needs across EYFS, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.
The Role
- Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
- Help pupils access learning both inside and outside the classroom.
- Build positive relationships that encourage confidence, independence and personal development.
- Work closely with class teachers and SENCOs to deliver tailored support.
- Adapt learning activities to meet individual pupil needs.
- Promote a safe, nurturing and inclusive learning environment.
We're Looking For
- Previous experience working with children or young people (school experience is desirable but not essential).
- Experience supporting children with SEN such as Autism (ASC), ADHD, Speech & Language Needs, SEMH or other additional needs is advantageous.
- A patient, caring and positive approach.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- The ability to remain calm, adaptable and resilient.
- A genuine passion for supporting children to achieve their full potential.
