We are seeking a qualified teacher with QTS and a strong subject specialism in Sociology to lead our successful and well-regarded department at a thriving secondary school in Ilford . As Head of Sociology , you will:

• Lead and develop Sociology across KS4 and KS5, ensuring high standards of teaching and learning
• Design and deliver a rigorous, engaging curriculum that promotes critical thinking and academic excellence
• Drive strong outcomes through effective assessment, intervention, and enrichment
• Support and develop colleagues through coaching, collaboration, and shared best practice
• Contribute to departmental and whole‑school improvement as a valued middle leader
• Promote inclusive practice and a deep understanding of social issues among students
