We are currently recruiting for an exceptional specialist primary school in Oxford, supporting children aged 5-11 with additional needs. The school is looking for TAs who have genuine experience supporting children with needs such as ASD, ADHD, SEMH and challenging behaviour and who understand that positive relationships are at the heart of progress.
This is a school where children are not defined by their needs. We are particularly interested in TAs who have:
- Experience working with Primary-aged children
- Previous experience supporting pupils with SEN
- Experience with ASD and/or ADHD
- Confidence supporting children with emotional and behavioural needs
- A calm, patient and consistent approach
- The ability to build strong, trusting relationships
- A genuine desire to help children overcome barriers to learning
Previous specialist-school experience is highly desirable, but the right attitude and relevant SEN experience are what matter most.
For the right applicants, we are in a position to arrange immediate trial days. To take advantage of this fast-track opportunity, you will need either:
- An Enhanced DBS issued within the last 12 months even if it is not currently registered on the Update Service
- An Enhanced DBS that is registered on the Update Service
This means suitable candidates can potentially get into the school quickly rather than waiting weeks for the recruitment process to progress.
