We are seeking a talented and experienced Midweight Project Manager to support our growing team on a dynamic, high-profile event. The role is ideal for an individual who excels in event management, installation, and client-facing communications. This position offers the opportunity to lead the client relationship, ensuring they are kept updated and fully informed throughout the project, from planning to installation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the main point of contact for the client, managing day-to-day communications and ensuring their needs are met.
- Report on project progress, keeping the client informed of any changes or updates, ensuring full transparency and managing expectations at all times.
- Oversee the entire project lifecycle, from planning to installation, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met.
- Coordinate logistics for onsite installations and derig, working directly with suppliers and stakeholders.
- Supervise installation methodology and ensure all safety processes are defined and implemented.
- Provide guidance and feedback to the design team to ensure creative direction aligns with client expectations.
- Collaborate with suppliers, managing schedules, budgets, and installation milestones.
- Monitor and manage the project budget, highlighting cost-saving opportunities.
- Manage event-related documentation, including site plans, risk assessments, and event management plans.
- Help with handling supplier negotiations and sourcing for new vendors, maintaining strong relationships with existing partners.
- Ensure all technical requirements, including AV and other event production needs, are effectively managed and delivered.
- Provide high-level support during the installation phase, being onsite to supervise and resolve any issues that arise.
Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience in event management and installation, preferably for sporting events or large-scale experiential activations.
- Strong understanding of logistics, supplier management, and installation processes.
- Experience in managing multiple suppliers and coordinating alongside large teams.
- Excellent project management skills, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to prioritise workloads.
- Ability to adapt quickly in fast-paced environments while maintaining high standards of execution.
- Experience with scheduling, budgeting, and risk management for events.
- Proven track record of managing client relationships, ensuring full transparency and keeping clients informed of progress at all stages.
- Proficiency in both verbal and written English. Proficiency in other languages (e.g., German) is a plus.
- Familiarity with creative tools such as Google Suite, Adobe Creative Cloud, or similar is a plus.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across multiple departments.
- Experience in managing onsite logistics, union labour planning, and working with AV/Tech requirements.
