Our client is a developing global creative production studio working with consumer and B2B brands across CGI, VFX and digital content. A new opportunity has come about to join their operations team as an accounting and finance specialist. You will be working across multiple brands, currencies and industries to keep financial operations running smoothly day to day.
Working with leadership, production and operations teams to maintain accurate records, support invoicing and vendor management, and ensure financial data remains clean, organized, and reliable. A key part of the role is bringing structure and discipline to financial workflows — reconciling accounts, maintaining documentation, supporting payroll and compliance processes, and ensuring month-end reporting is accurate and delivered on time. You’ll also help maintain the integrity of financial systems, ensuring tools like Xero and production platforms stay aligned.
We’re looking for someone highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable operating in a fast-moving environment where processes evolve and ownership matters. Key responsibilities will include:
- Keeping reliable, up-to-date financial records across all entities so leadership can trust the numbers at any moment.
- Ensure transactions are correctly coded, reconciliations are completed regularly, and discrepancies are identified and resolved quickly.
- Protect the company’s cash position by maintaining clear visibility on bank balances, payables, and receivables across entities.
- Ensure invoices are issued promptly, payments are collected efficiently, and supplier payments are executed in a controlled and predictable way.
- Structured Financial Operations - Build consistency and reliability in day-to-day accounting operations.
- Reliable Month-End Close - Maintain a disciplined and predictable month-end close process so leadership receives timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Multi-Entity Financial Integrity - Ensure financial consistency across multiple legal entities and currencies.
- Systems Reliability & Process Discipline - Maintain the integrity of the financial systems that support operations.
- Daily and weekly cash and bank reconciling all transactions.
- Accounts payable responsibility – sync and coding all supplier bills and ensuring approval workflow before payment runs.
- Payroll and Compliance, Month end closure.
The successful candidate will need 3-6 years experience in a similar financial supporting role, ideally in a smaller team or company with a breadth of financial exposure and responsibilities.
3–6+ years experience in bookkeeping, accounting operations, or finance operations roles with a solid understanding of:
- Accounts payable and receivable workflows
- Month-end close process
- Accruals and prepayments
- Multi-entity and intercompany recharges
- Multi-currency accounting environments
Strong experience with Xero (or comparable cloud accounting tools such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, or Sage). Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills. Comfortable learning and working with modern cloud-based financial systems. Ability or eagerness to learn to troubleshoot and resolve integration or sync discrepancies.
We value candidates who are comfortable learning modern tools and systems. Prior experience with all our tools is not required — curiosity, adaptability, and the ability to learn quickly are more important. Candidates with experience working in a creative/production or project based environment would be desirable.
Other software knowledge of Experience with tools such as: Scoro, Fathom HQ, Joiin, Mayday, Brex, Ramp, Wise. Experience working with accounting tools connected to operational systems (e.g., project management tools syncing into accounting). Experience setting up or working with automations and AI-powered tools. Experience maintaining financial integrations between systems. Experience working with UK + international entities. Familiarity with UK VAT processes.
Based in their Shoreditch offices 4 days a week with 1 day remote working you will be part of a growing team working alongside other business support roles.
