DesignRush, a B2B Media Platform that drives brand discovery & growth, is seeking an experienced News Writer with excellent writing, editing, and research skills to create breaking stories in the AdTech world with the goal of increasing website visits. The candidate must be a proactive and independent thinker who can take ownership of the tasks at hand and ensure timely and high-quality output through collaboration with other team members.

- Trending Brands: Brands can feature their expertise and achievements via news, interviews, and trends articles to get noticed and recognized as an industry leader.

We’re looking for a News Writer to cover marketing and AdTech news on Trending Brands with sharp, original stories, a strong editorial sense, and a knack for using SEO, CMS, and AI tools to boost impact and efficiency.
Goals:
- Publish 3-5 timely, SEO-optimized marketing stories per day that engage senior decision-makers from the U.S.
- Generate 10,000+ monthly unique views on Google SERPs within 3 months through strategic topic selection.
- Launch your own weekly editorial column (e.g., “CMO Moves,” “AdTech Weekly”) to build a returning reader base.
- Secure 3-5 monthly editorial partnerships with top U.S. brand or agency executives to co-create interviews, features, or insight-based content.
- Publish 1+ exclusive, high-value content formats monthly - salary guides, trend reports, agency revenue benchmarks - to attract links, partners, and recurring visits.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Pitch and write original, timely news articles, explainers, and editorial stories focused on the marketing and AdTech industries.
- Upload, format, and optimize articles in our CMS.
- Apply SEO best practices and editorial judgment to maximize traffic.
- Improve processes and workflow automation using AI tools and agents.
- Publish weekly exclusives on new marketing campaigns, C-level moves, and interviews with business leaders.
- Build B2B partnerships for early access to announcements and collaborative content from top U.S. brands.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 5+ years of experience in digital journalism for B2B publications.
- Deep understanding of AdTech, MarTech, and branding trends.
- Near-native written and spoken English.
- Ability to work independently and generate high-volume, high-quality content.
- Familiarity with gap analysis using Google Analytics and Ahrefs.
- Able to work between 5 a.m. and 2 p.m. ET.
- Strong knowledge of AI tools, agents, and workflows.
