You’ll be responsible for crafting engaging, SEO, GEO and AEO-optimised copy that brings the UK’s most exciting hospitality venues and events to life. From quirky cocktail bars and rooftop restaurants to immersive pop-ups and food festivals, you’ll help our users discover unforgettable experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Write compelling and descriptive copy for bars, pubs, restaurants, and events across the UK, Ireland and Australia – you will be expected to write copy for 80-100 items a day.
  • Ensure all content is optimised for SEO, GEO and AEO with a strong understanding of EEAT principles and writing for LLMs.
  • Sub-edit and proofread your own work to maintain high editorial standards.
  • Collaborate with the wider B2C & Marketing team, as well as account managers, to align copy with business goals.
  • Maintain the DesignMyNight tone of voice while adapting to different content formats and audiences.
  • Please note that you will not be able to use AI to craft copy in this role.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of professional writing experience in a similar field (hospitality, lifestyle, travel, or entertainment).
  • A genuine passion for the hospitality industry – you know your speakeasies from your gastropubs.
  • Proven writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Excellent research skills with the ability to quickly identify and describe the unique selling points of venues and events.
  • Strong understanding of SEO, GEO and AEO best practices, including EEAT and writing for AI-readability.
  • Exceptional time-management skills with the ability to maintain high standards of accuracy and quality in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with CMS platforms and basic HTML is a plus.

What We Offer

  • A creative and collaborative work environment.
  • Flexible working hours and remote working.
