About Designit & Wipro: Designit, Wipro's experience, innovation, and design business, works at the intersection of creativity, technology, and strategy to help ambitious organisations grow and transform. We take a holistic view of how services work - connecting people, processes, and technology to create experiences that are not only meaningful for users, but operationally sound and commercially viable for the organisations behind them.

The Opportunity: We are looking for a talented and curious Experience Designer to join our London studio. In this role, you will work across a range of client engagements - from financial services and insurance to consumer and technology - designing digital products, services, and experiences that are grounded in user insight and connected to measurable business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Independently deliver high-quality experience design artefacts - including user flows, wireframes, interaction models, prototypes, and UI specifications - within agreed timelines and project scopes, taking ownership of the rationale behind every design decision.
  • Translate user research insights and strategic intent into tangible design solutions, bringing Designit's design principles to life and constructively challenging established processes when a better approach exists.
  • Collaborate within multi-disciplinary teams alongside service designers, researchers, strategists, developers, and client-service leads - participating confidently in client workshops, design reviews, and stakeholder presentations.
  • Proactively communicate progress and flag risks early, coming up with suggestions for how to address them and contributing to a collaborative, inclusive team culture.
  • Practice all key capabilities within experience design — user journeys, information architecture, interaction design, prototyping, usability evaluation, and design systems - while staying current on trends, tools, and best practices.
  • Seek cross-disciplinary learning by understanding how experience design connects to adjacent disciplines such as research, strategy, service design, and creative technology.
  • Understand the client context, business objectives, and user needs that frame each engagement, and help identify new opportunities within existing client relationships by thinking beyond the current scope of work.
  • Actively contribute to Designit's design community and London studio culture - sharing inspiration, raising topics, supporting proposals and case studies, and participating in wellbeing and culture initiatives.

Required Experience & Skills:

  • 3+ years of relevant experience in experience design, UX/UI design, or interaction design – ideally within a consultancy, agency, or design-led environment.
  • A strong portfolio demonstrating craft across digital products and services, with clear design rationale and evidence of user-centred thinking.
  • Proficiency in core design tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite) and prototyping methods, with a solid grasp of design systems, accessibility standards, and responsive design principles.
  • Hands-on experience with user-centred design methods: user research, journey mapping, wireframing, prototyping, and usability testing.
  • Confident communicator - able to present, articulate, and defend design decisions to teammates, stakeholders, and clients.
  • Comfortable working in multi-disciplinary teams, with exposure to client-facing collaboration alongside researchers, strategists, service designers, and developers.
  • Self-directed and curious - you actively seek feedback, stay current on design trends, and bring new knowledge into your work and the wider team.
  • Commercially aware - you understand that great design must connect to business value and client outcomes, and you can estimate and plan your own work effectively.
  • Motion and 3D would be desirable skills, but not hard requirements.

Ways of Working:

  • A systems thinker - able to see the big picture while managing the details that make services work.
  • Collaborative and generous - working across disciplines and helping teams build shared understanding.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity - bringing structure and direction to complex, open-ended challenges.
  • Proactive and accountable - taking ownership of quality and driving work forward with pace and purpose.
  • Curious about emerging practices - including designing for AI-enabled services, evolving accessibility standards, and new ways of measuring service performance.
  • Comfortable working at various locations/onsite with client teams in Central London.

What We Offer: The opportunity to shape services for ambitious clients from our London studio, a role within a collaborative, multidisciplinary team across Europe, meaningful responsibility and the chance to influence both client outcomes and Designit's service design practice, exposure to a range of sectors and project types, and a culture that values creativity, curiosity, and real-world impact.

Please note this will initially be a two year fixed term contract with the potential to convert to permanent.

How to Apply: Please submit your CV and portfolio or case studies (PDF or web). We're particularly interested in seeing how you've designed end-to-end services and the impact your work has had on both users and organisations.

Designit is committed to equal opportunity and fostering an inclusive environment. If you require reasonable accommodation during the application or interview process, please let us know.
