Designit, Wipro’s global design, experience, and innovation business, is renowned for creating meaningful, human-centric experiences that drive competitive advantage and positive change. Operating at the intersection of technology and creativity, Designit delivers exceptional experiences at scale for some of the world’s most ambitious organisations.

As a Communications Strategist at Designit, you will shape and deliver high-impact, human‑centred communication and engagement strategies that help large, complex organisations understand change, build trust, and drive adoption. You specialise in translating complex technology, process, and organisational change into clear, compelling narratives that resonate with senior leaders, stakeholders, and end users alike. Your work bridges strategy and execution—making transformation tangible, relevant, and meaningful in people’s day‑to‑day experience. This role suits a communications practitioner who can independently own workstreams, partner closely with cross‑functional teams, and act as a trusted communications advisor within enterprise environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Communication & Engagement Strategy: Lead the design and execution of structured communication and engagement approaches that support transformation, experience improvement, and organisational change. Translate complex technical, operational, and process initiatives into plain‑language, user‑centred storytelling, clearly articulating what’s changing, why it matters, how it helps, and what it means for different audiences. Ensure communications are outcome‑focused, reinforcing tangible improvements and progress rather than abstract intent.
  • Stakeholder & Leadership Engagement: Serve as the primary communications partner for senior leaders and cross‑functional teams, ensuring alignment, consistency, and credibility in messaging. Confidently engage with executives, business stakeholders, champions, and frontline users—adapting tone and depth while maintaining a coherent narrative. Help position internal functions and initiatives as trusted, value‑creating partners rather than support or reporting entities.
  • Content, Channels & Campaigns: Design and deliver multi‑channel communications, including leadership updates, campaigns, town halls, roadshows, briefings, and targeted engagement initiatives. Produce high‑quality content across formats such as executive narratives and presentations, FAQs and playbooks, updates, campaigns, and engagement assets. Develop reusable communication assets and frameworks that support consistency and scalability over time.
  • Feedback, Insight & Adoption: Support the design and promotion of feedback mechanisms (e.g. surveys, panels, listening activities). Close the loop by synthesising insight and clearly communicating actions taken in response to user input. Track and communicate engagement, adoption, and sentiment metrics to evidence impact and momentum.
  • Collaboration & Delivery: Work closely with experience, design, technology, product, and delivery teams to ensure communications reflect real outcomes and release rhythms. Align communications to programme milestones, changes, and delivery plans, proactively identifying risks and dependencies. Contribute to opportunity shaping and ongoing client relationships through strong strategic and delivery‑led thinking.

Required Experience & Profile

  • Proven experience in enterprise communications, engagement, or change communications within large, complex organisations.
  • Strong ability to translate technical, digital, or process change into clear, compelling, human‑centred narratives.
  • Demonstrated experience designing and delivering structured engagement approaches (e.g. campaigns, town halls, roadshows).
  • Confident senior‑level stakeholder management, with the gravitas to partner effectively with leadership.
  • Experience working with feedback, insight, and engagement metrics to inform strategy and demonstrate impact.
  • Comfortable operating independently while collaborating closely within multi‑disciplinary teams.
  • Strong written, visual, and verbal communication skills with an executive‑ready standard.

Tools & Ways of Working

  • Enterprise communication platforms (e.g. Microsoft 365 channels such as SharePoint, Teams, Viva Engage or equivalents).
  • Survey and insight tools (e.g. Forms, Qualtrics, Medallia or similar).
  • Measurement and reporting using engagement and adoption metrics.
  • Strong proficiency in PowerPoint and Word for executive‑level content.
  • Familiarity with delivery and release‑based environments (e.g. Agile ways of working, Jira, Azure DevOps or similar).
  • Practical experience with change and adoption approaches (e.g. ADKAR or similar frameworks).

What Success Looks Like

  • You independently own communications workstreams and deliver consistently high‑quality outputs.
  • Stakeholders trust you to clarify complexity and improve alignment.
  • Communications you lead help shift understanding, confidence, and adoption—not just awareness.
  • You proactively identify opportunities to strengthen engagement and storytelling.
  • You role‑model Designit’s values: being curious, thoughtful, inclusive, and outcome‑driven.
