Designer Recruitment are seeking a Design Assistant or Assistant Designer for a well-knownkitchen retailer in Nottingham. Thisrole would suit a graduate designer with some good initial experience/exposure already obtained in the home/kitchen design retail market.
This is a permanent position with ongoing training paying £27,000 - £29,000.
Working schedule can be 3, 4 or 5 days per week.
Duties of theDesign Assistant:
Usinginternal systems including CRM reporting tools efficiently (training will be provided)
Supporting the Showroom Manager with ordering processes/liaising with their manufacturing facilityand completion of technical drawings for customer/client projects
Lead taking, booking design appointments and presenting designs to clients/customers
Administration support for showroom lead marketing activities
Engaging with walk-in customers and ensuring thecustomers receive the highest level of customer service
Answering the phone and dealing with daily enquiries and customer/client enquiries throughout a project
Ensuring the showroom is maintained to a high level of cleanliness
Requirement of the Design Assistant:
- Customer service experience
- Basic knowledge of design using CAD software
- Proactive with a desire to learn and develop in the role
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to prioritise work and manage multiple tasks
- Good communication and presentation skills and IT literate
- Ability to work as part of a team and independently
- Personable, friendly and confident with a can do attitude
- Driving Licence (preferred)
