Design Engineer in Peterborough

Designer Recruitment are seeking a Building Services Design Engineer in Cambridgeshire to support the Energy, Food Processing and Pharmaceutical Industry with a unique service. Our client provides a unique service from concept, advising and partnering with their clients to ensure the correct mechanical and electrical solution bespoke to their needs. This is a permanent role offering £60,000 – £75,000 for the right Design Engineer. Design Engineer responsibilities: Manage and deliver a wide range of projects including: – Low temperature hot water systems & their site wide distribution – Steam & Condensate within Energy Centres – ASHP & WSHP Installations – Combined Heat & Power projects and their integration – Commercial, industrial, and Healthcare Prepare high quality information including technical specifications, designs, drawings, equipment schedules, survey reports, and contract documentation. Produce energy efficient designs and be able todemonstratefinancial benefits to our clients Attend meetings with clients and multidisciplinary design teams as the MEP project lead Develop and present project design proposals to the project team and client Undertake project surveys including site inspections, stock condition,refurbishmentand post-occupancy performance evaluations Develop new and repeat business Maintain regular contact with all clients Monitor and review junior staff performance Report resource and financial information to group Partners Identifyopportunities for new services and company development Ensureaccuratemark ups for CAD, liaising with drawing office to ensure project designs are reflected clearly & accurately in construction drawings Responsibility as design lead on client projects including attendance and representation of the company at all necessary design meetings Responsibility for design co-ordination & design audits through project installation The Design Engineer: Conscientious, enthusiastic, wellorganisedand professional. Youmust provide a constant positive influence on the team, encourage others and lead by example. Be proactive with developing yourown and others knowledge, while driving standards and quality throughout the team Design Engineer Qualifications Required: 8 years minimum experience as a Building Services Designer Engineer or similar HNC or a degree in either Mechanical, Building Services or related Engineering discipline Experience working on projects such as Energy Centres, CHP & Energyprojectsor healthcare sector also desirable Hold, or working towards, membership with relevant industry body (CIBSE, IMechE, IET) Please contact Ben Paine from Designer Recruitment for more information.
