Responsibilities include:
- Provide day-to-day administration of the logistics department.
- Managing relationships with Freight Forwarders, all internal departments, and understanding their logistical needs as well as tracking all shipments within the supply chain from point of supply to delivery to the destination, ensuring any problems that may arise are resolved promptly.
Freight (inbound/Outbound):
- Coordinate imports with our transport partners for Custom clearance, ensuring correct product information for shipments, and sharing documents.
- Arrange local, EU & international shipments through our forwarders, working closely with suppliers and internal colleagues to provide updates and tracking of all shipments.
- Raise POs for freight.
- Communication with business partners like 3PL, 4PL and Hauliers.
- Freight KPI tracking.
Ad-hoc and Structured Reporting:
- Sales Order Tracker (outbound).
- Inbound Tracker (truck & non-truck).
- Ad hoc reporting on 3PL, 4PL and hauliers’ performance.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in freight forwarding (Import and/or Export).
- Strong understanding of Air, Road, and/or Sea freight operations and regulations.
- Knowledge of commodity/HS codes to deal with customs & duty taxes.
- SAP Business 1 is desirable but not essential.
- Good Excel skills.
