The Digital Technology Manager is responsible for overseeing the development, integration, and performance of the company’s digital commerce ecosystem. This role ensures that all digital platforms, data systems, and operational processes work seamlessly together to support online sales, marketing performance, and operational efficiency. The position combines technical platform management, data governance, systems integration, and digital merchandising to drive growth and optimise customer experience across all digital channels.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Website Development & Platform Management: Lead the development, maintenance, and optimisation of company websites. Manage and develop websites on Shopify, while evaluating and implementing additional platforms when required. Ensure websites meet performance, security, and scalability standards. Coordinate with internal teams and external developers to deliver new functionality and improvements.
- Systems Integration: Manage integrations between digital platforms and core business systems. Oversee integration between websites and SAP. Manage integration of Amazon 3P (USA) sales channels with SAP. Set up and integrate Linnworks for stock and order management across the web platforms. Oversee connections between websites, TTShop, and third-party warehouses. Ensure data flows accurately and reliably between platforms.
- Data Management & Digital Analytics: Establish and maintain a single source of truth for digital performance data. Consolidate data from all digital channels, including eCommerce, marketplaces, and marketing platforms. Track and report on key metrics such as sales and profit performance, impressions and traffic, conversion rates, advertising metrics, return on ad spend (ROAS), and returning customer rates. Develop dashboards and reporting systems to support data-driven decision-making.
- Warehouse & Operational Process Management: Manage web fulfilment warehouse operational systems and related digital processes. Ensure smooth coordination between digital sales channels and warehouse fulfilment. Optimise workflows between eCommerce platforms and logistics operations. Manage user experience (UX) improvements across all digital platforms. Oversee updates to product listings, including content accuracy and completeness. Manage merchandising strategies across websites and marketplaces to optimise product visibility and conversion. Ensure consistent brand presentation and product information across all digital touchpoints.
Skills & Experience: Strong experience managing and developing eCommerce platforms such as Shopify. Experience with ERP integrations, particularly SAP. Knowledge of marketplace integrations (e.g. Amazon, TikTok Shop, Shopify). Strong understanding of digital analytics, marketing metrics, and performance tracking. Experience managing system integrations and APIs. Understanding of warehouse operations and eCommerce fulfilment processes. Strong analytical, project management, and problem-solving skills.
