GLOBAL RETAIL DESIGNER
Designer Parfums is a fast-growing, dynamic global fragrance company in the perfume & cosmetics industry, with a UK base in London and international ambition, with active business in around 70 markets.

JOB PURPOSE
You’ll be instrumental in translating DP brands into dynamic and branded environments. This includes a wide range of projects from retail stores to short-term installations and creative activations.
You must have exceptional visualisation skills, with strong working knowledge of SketchUp and 3D renders to clearly communicate spatial concepts and materiality.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Managing all in-store VM creatives by supporting the Marketing and Commercial/Markets teams to implement strong design and creative solutions to deliver the highest standards at point of sale.
VM & Retail Design
- Develop creative design proposals aligned with brand aesthetics and business objectives while staying current with market trends
- Design 3D concepts/POSM for branded spaces, activations, launch events & pop-ups (TFWA e.g), both temporary and permanent
- Produce clear guidelines for launches across all countries & retailers
- Ensure that all store designs maintain a cohesive look and feel reflecting brand and visual standards across all locations
Design Execution & Implementation
- Collaborate with VM and retail ops teams to optimise in-store presentation
- Produce high-quality visualisations as well as mood boards, plans, and material palettes if required
- Understand regional needs, propose strategies and local adaptations
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Collaborate with visual merchandising teams to create engaging product displays, aligning design elements with marketing campaigns and sales strategies
- Work closely with marketing and wider VM team to ensure successful completion of projects to a high standard and support the rollout process from concept to production
- Communicate effectively with brand stakeholders, contractors, and suppliers to ensure timely, high-quality project delivery
Trend Awareness
- Drive innovation in retail technology and stay informed on trends in beauty, fashion, interiors, and materials to ensure innovative and relevant design
- Analyse retail trends and competitor activities to inform design decisions
- Focus on optimising store layouts, interactive elements and animation to enhance the customer experience
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Graphic, Interior, Environmental Design, Architecture, or a related field. Exceptional creative portfolios demonstrating diverse design experience will also be considered
- 7+ years of experience in retail space design, with a portfolio that highlights branded store or commercial projects and compelling 3D retail environments
- Proven experience in retail, events, experiential, interior, and store design
- Familiarity with brand guidelines and toolkits, with an understanding of creating user-centred POSM and environments
- Strong interest in Retail VM Design and a continuous drive for learning
- Excellent spatial awareness, attention to detail, and a keen creative eye
- Solid understanding of the retail industry, with the ability to translate brand needs into effective spatial designs
- Proficiency in SketchUp is essential, and experience with other 3D design software (e.g., 3ds Max, Rhino, C4D) is a plus. You should be able to create polished, realistic visual renders
- Fluent in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
- Experience in animation and video is a significant advantage
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Skills & Attributes
- Experience working on global brand projects with cross-functional creative teams and external vendors is preferred
- Highly organised, self-motivated, and detail oriented
- Excellent written and verbal communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work both proactively and independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, while also being a strong team player
- Any previous experience within the industry is preferable
- Ability to commute to our London and Watford offices
