Role Overview
Supervises piping installation activities ensuring compliance with project specifications and safety standards.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Supervise pipe fitters, welders, and subcontractors.
- Ensure installation aligns with approved isometrics and drawings.
- Coordinate materials and site resources.
- Monitor welding quality and compliance.
- Report daily progress and site issues to Project Management.
- Verify correct pipe routing, alignment, and support installation.
- Ensure hydrotesting and flushing activities are properly executed.
- Maintain productivity and manpower planning schedules.
- Ensure adherence to permit-to-work systems.
- Conduct daily briefings and coordinate with QA/QC teams.
- Be onsite prior to work crews daily to ensure all information required is at hand and available.
- Responsible for the productive and safe working of crews under their supervision.
- Attend Main Contractor DABS, Briefing Sessions, TBTs, Logistics meetings.
- Set daily tasks for work crews and monitor continuously to ensure works are completed on time.
- Ensure all operatives are on the time clock and adhering to start/finish and break times.
- Ensure that all variations and delays are notified to CM & PM.
- Ensure housekeeping standards are maintained by all DG trade partners.
- Ensure all Plant and access equipment is certified and in good working condition.
- Ensure all delivered materials are coordinated and stored in a safe and secure manner.
Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or trade qualification.
- Minimum 5 years piping supervision experience.
- Strong understanding of fabrication and erection techniques.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings.
