Production Operative - Blind Making in Kettering

We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced individual to join our friendly workroom based in Kettering. Our workroom serves all of our 13 UK regional offices and is a prosperous and growing department. Due to increasing demands, we are looking for a new diverse team member to join our small friendly team. This is a varied position where you would be responsible for the production of vertical and roller blinds and for carrying out administrative tasks within our distribution warehouse.

Responsibilities

• Making blinds to specifications from worksheets
• Accurately measuring and cutting products
• Ensuring that the blinds are completed to schedule
• Ensuring that all completed jobs are packed and labelled adequately for transportation
• Using the sewing machines responsibly
• Checking completed blinds prior to packing, ready for transit
• Dealing with any issues raised promptly to ensure customer satisfaction is met

Qualifications

• Flexible, enthusiastic and hardworking
• Excellent communication skills
• A good level of maths and IT skills
• Prior sewing or blind‑making experience required
