Due to our continued growth, we have an exciting opportunity to join our friendly team based in Chesterfield. We are looking for a strong team player with a positive and enthusiastic approach to work.
Job Objective
To accurately complete all tasks in a timely manner in line with approved processes. Working within the Accounts Payable department, processing and verifying invoices including ad hoc analysis of spend and data trends. Processing expenses and verifying and processing sub-contractor payments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure accurate fitter payments, deductions and minimise special payments and unexpected items.
- Be aware of expense policy to provide a backstop when processing expenses.
- Ensure all reports are used effectively.
- Ensure administration and compliance standards for your areas of responsibility are compliant.
- Implement change as required.
- Ensure all legal requirements are adhered to.
Other areas of responsibilities include:
- Assist with all elements of Purchase Ledger and Sub-contractor payment procedures.
- Assist with management accounts and reconcile the suspense account monthly.
- Assist with cash book and bank reconciliations.
- Assist with processing petty cash claims, direct debit payments, expenses and mileage claims.
- Ensure procedures are followed to prevent duplication of purchase ledger payments and fitter invoice payments.
- Assist with pro-forma accounts and payments and ensure there are no supplier credit balances.
