Overview
A friendly design practice has been awarded some great contracts and as a result are excited to grow their team again with a Junior Interior Architect/Interior Technician or Junior Interior Designer.
This role offers the opportunity to join a local, friendly team supporting projects including refurbishments, design and build, and fit outs for well known multinational companies in the Hospitality sector. Experience or interest in Retail, Hospitality, or Commercial schemes is preferred. As this is a Junior position, prior practice experience on live projects is advantageous but not essential. A relevant degree in Interior Design/Interior Architecture is required, and you must live within a commutable distance to work in the office, 5 days a week. Relocation is not being considered for this role.
Responsibilities
- Assisting on initial designs and creating hand sketch drawings to convey design ideas
- Using AutoCAD and other software to produce interior and exterior details, specifications, and drawing packages
- Assisting with design proposals, construction details, visualisations and schedules
- Working as part of the team and liaising with external consultants
Requirements
- Relevant degree in Interior Design/Interior Architecture
- Live within a commutable distance to the Buckinghamshire area
- Good communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced project environment
- Organised with the ability to manage timeframes for producing drawings
- Experience with AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Photoshop is highly desirable (from degree studies or live projects)
