Are you a copy connoisseur? A wrangler of words? A tone of voice talent? Then you could be just what Designate are looking for. We need a talented copywriter to take our words to the next level. This role is for people who love creative writing in all forms. You will be excited and passionate about writing creative long form, short form and everything in-between form.

Location: Brighton – Hybrid with 4 days in office, but 5 days is preferred.

Reporting to: Executive Creative Director

Key Responsibilities:

  • The ability to Trigger Bigger Thinking in each and every brief.
  • To be responsible for our copy output.
  • To create long and short form copy for ATL, BTL and brand identity briefs, carefully capturing the tone and energy of the brand and brief.
  • To work with either senior creatives, senior Designers, the ECD or individually to develop original copy, headlines and TOV docs.
  • To proofread all work before it goes into production and final sign off.
  • Capturing the correct tone of voice for brands in all materials.
  • Working with designers to bring a visual brand world to life in copy.
  • To develop a keen and curious understanding of all clients, their sectors, competitors and their products.
  • To read industry and client trade journals, ensuring you are up to date with client industry, competition and overall industry trends.
  • To work as a team with other members of the Creative Department, Client Services Team and Operations to make the work and agency the best it can possibly be.

Experience: Minimum 2-3 years in a creative agency, brand agency or copy house.

Salary: £40,000 + some great benefits.
