This is a part-time, fractional role. The Vision: We’re going to fundamentally change how digital professionals learn and deliver the products and services of the future. Digital teams are the drivers of innovation and business value across the world, but they need to be empowered with the latest knowledge to shape ground-breaking solutions. About Design3: Design3 is a growing global ed-tech platform that brings the latest knowledge and skills across AI, web3, and sustainability to designers and digital product teams. We are the first entrant in this market serving the creative and digital industries with a global audience and participation from businesses like Microsoft, Lego, Miro, Shell, and Meta. But we’ve learned that while digital professionals are keen to learn, they struggle to make time to do so given the pressures of their roles to deliver solutions better and faster. That’s why we are now entering an exciting phase where we are building an AI-powered platform for both B2C and Enterprise users with the ambition to revolutionize the way the industry upskills and builds products & services. As a fractional CGO and co-founder, you will play a pivotal role in defining and shaping the product (informed by the insights you uncover with potential partners/customers and tech providers) and the business itself, working with the founding team to ensure growth, build partnerships, find product-market fit, and help secure funding rounds. This is the ideal time for you to join Design3 as we have embarked on building this new Product which we are looking to release in spring 2025. This is not a salaried position, but rather an opportunity to become an equity partner that helps build a global startup. A salary can be determined and agreed upon once the platform is launched and funding secured. What You’ll Do: The nature and weighting of these responsibilities will change through the different business phases and funding cycles. Lead Growth Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive growth strategy that drives user acquisition, retention, and revenue across multiple channels. Partnerships: Identify, negotiate, and nurture strategic partnerships and collaborations to enhance Design3’s brand presence and accelerate growth. Community: Drive the community growth strategy to continue to build and grow our global network with the creative and Product industry across channels (from events to social). Performance Marketing: Own and optimize paid media campaigns (Google Ads, Meta, etc.) while maximizing ROI and exploring new advertising channels. Product Launch & Positioning: Collaborate closely with product and design teams to successfully launch new features, ensuring market fit and competitive positioning. Data-Driven Decision Making: Leverage data analytics and customer insights to refine strategies, optimize campaigns, and identify opportunities for growth. Lead & Build the Marketing Team: Recruit, mentor, and lead a high-performing marketing team that will drive growth and innovation. Legal & Content: Work with enterprise partnerships to ensure legal and technical compliance in terms of data security and content IP. What We’re Looking For: Time & Expectations: This is a fractional role, and while full-time commitment isn’t a must, as much commitment as possible is desirable – with 2 days per week seen as a minimum. We are outcome-driven, and so the appropriate efforts to meet results are prized. Entrepreneurial Mindset: A self-starter who is comfortable with ambiguity, can problem solve laterally, and enjoys wearing multiple hats. Proven Growth Leader: 5+ years of experience in a senior marketing or growth role, ideally with experience in early-stage startups or high-growth companies. Marketing Expertise: A strong background in digital marketing, content strategy, SEO, social media, and analytics. Data-Driven & Creative: A blend of creativity and analytical thinking, capable of designing innovative campaigns and tracking their success with precision. Leadership Experience: Experience in speaking and negotiating with enterprises and senior business leaders. Fundraising: Understanding of how to pitch and shape proposals for investors and the confidence to reach out to a range of funds, grants, and individuals. Passion for Design & Innovation: A genuine interest in the product, tech, and design industry. Bonus: Any experience in Ed-tech and/or AI Products. Why Join Us?
