Our client is currently looking for a Senior Instrument Designer to join their C&I team in the Manchester offices. The position is a long-term contract that can be worked Outside of IR35. The role will be offering a rate that is commensurate with candidates' experience and will be offering hybrid working. The right to work within the UK must be established.
Candidates will be responsible for providing safe, practical and economic designs for clients that meet a high standard of professional competence and are in compliance with the end client's procedures. This includes producing drawing office deliverables such as:
- Loop diagrams
- Block cable diagrams
- Schematic diagrams
- 3D models
The client is looking for candidates that have a good knowledge of design working practices and installation requirements of the discipline across a range of highly regulated industries, as well as having good working experience of CAD, with experience in 3D modelling, ideally in AVEVA PDMS.
During the role, you will be acting as Senior Designer on proposals as assigned by the Chief C&I Engineer and will be expected to carry out design work for such proposals, ensuring that all work is carried out in a manner that will produce a safe and operable design, and that all personnel assigned work in a safe manner.
