Our client is currently looking for a Lead Electrical Engineer on a long term contracting basis, the role can be worked Outside IR35 with rates that are commensurate to your experience. The position will also be offering an opportunity for hybrid working, with the clients offices being based in the Manchester area.

During the role candidates will be taking overall responsibility for delivery of the electrical scope, including but not limited to:

  • Schedule and MDR creation
  • Change control
  • Project reporting
  • Leading meetings
  • Delegating work packages to the electrical team

You will be responsible for preparing equipment and material requisitions for HV and LV switch boards, transformers, motors, UPS systems, power factor correction, trace-heating, lighting and other electrical equipment.

The client will be looking for candidates that have a good knowledge of design working practices and installation requirements of the relevant sectors and having an in depth knowledge of UK legislation and standards. You must have knowledge in requirements for CE marking of plant and equipment, including ATEX, PED, Low voltage directive, machinery directive and EMC compliance.

Candidates must have the right to work already established within the UK.
