DesignBuild Search are working with an expanding Engineering consultancy. Due to growth, they have an opening for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer in London. In this position you will report into the directors and leadership team. The successful applicant will provide input into the overall running of projects to ensure successful project delivery.

Sectors: Data centre and urban

Requirements:

  • Degree qualified in Building Services / Mechanical engineering with 5 years of relevant design and consultancy experience in building services projects.
  • Preferably be chartered with a recognised professional institution or be on route to chartership.
  • Experienced in design using Revit in the BIM environment (not essential).
  • Experienced in design using computer simulation software such as IES (not essential).
  • Knowledge and interest in the implementation of sustainability measures in designs in compliance with NZEB.
  • Have considerable technical design experience in all areas of Mechanical design across many project types including industrial, commercial, education, retail & hospitality, healthcare, etc.
  • Have considerable knowledge of the consulting experience and successful project management experience in the Mechanical sector both in buildings and in infrastructure.
  • Good working knowledge of relevant legislations, regulations, codes of practice, and guidelines.
  • Ideally have a well-developed network of client contacts (or the development of this within this position).
