Design Build Search is working on behalf of a leading main contractor with a strong track record across Data Centres, Life Sciences, and Critical Logistics. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Technical Services Manager to join their high-performing London project team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the delivery of MEP systems across projects, ensuring full compliance with specifications from design through testing, commissioning, and final handover.
- Ensure compliance with company Safety, Environmental, and Quality Management Systems.
- Undertake regular site inspections to ensure standards are met.
- Identify and shortlist M&E subcontractors during tender stage.
- Assess subcontractor performance across quality, safety, programme, and commercial metrics.
- Perform due diligence on subcontractor packages and flag commercial risks.
- Monitor progress of M&E installations and manage programme risks.
- Ensure full implementation of company QMS across all MEP activities.
- Build, resource, and lead high-performing M&E teams across multiple projects.
- Select appropriate technical services resources and clearly define roles and responsibilities.
- Support business development by identifying new opportunities and nurturing client relationships.
Requirements:
- Third-level qualification in Building Services Engineering or related discipline (or qualified Mechanical/Electrical trade background).
- Minimum 10 years’ construction experience, including 5+ years as a Services Coordinator or similar role.
- Proven track record of delivering complex projects through to completion.
- Excellent communicator with the ability to foster positive project team environments.
