Our client is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join their team on a high-profile datacentre project in Cardiff, Wales. This role offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic team delivering cutting-edge engineering solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Planning & Documentation
- Prepare method statements and risk assessments in collaboration with the construction team.
- Develop reports, front-end studies, capital cost estimates, project schedules, and material take-offs.
- Prepare and review technical and contract documentation for tenders.
- Maintain an accurate delivery schedule to manage logistics effectively.
- Clarify queries with the design team using the Request for Information (RFI) system.
- Monitor progress against project schedules and provide regular progress reports.
- Develop and update look-ahead programs to assist production planning.
- Conduct quality control inspections and snagging to ensure compliance with project standards.
- Oversee document control to ensure proper recording and transmission of information.
- Work closely with multi-disciplinary teams across the project.
- Ensure effective communication between construction, design, and project management teams.
Skills & Experience Required
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Previous experience within the construction industry.
- At least 2 years' experience in a similar role with an electrical contractor.
- Experience in pharmaceutical or industrial projects is highly desirable.
- Strong technical knowledge and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent report writing, document control, and communication skills.
