Teaching Assistant - SEMH Provision

Desian Education are proud to be supporting a single-form entry primary school in Runcorn that is easily accessible via public transport as they are looking to appoint an experienced and reliable teaching assistant for a long-term temporary contract within an SEMH designated provision. This is a full-time role where you will be supporting a class of 14 KS1 pupils with SEMH needs. Your new role: As a teaching assistant within this school you will be supporting pupils with SEMH. You will offer tailored 1:1 support across the class, planning and delivering comprehensive interventions in key areas with an aim of building emotional confidence, well-being and interpersonal skills. Other core duties will include: * Implement positive behaviour strategies * Deliver ESLA interventions * Work collaboratively with the SENCO to boost attendance What you need to succeed: * Full Right to Work in the UK * Be able to commit to a full-time contract * Having an NVQ Level 2 Supporting Teaching and Learning qualification is advantageous but not essential * Previous experience delivering or knowledge of ELSA * Experience supporting SEMH is highly advantageous * Have an Enhanced Children s DBS certificate or willingness to obtain What you ll get in return: * Free training * Long-term contract * Opportunity to gain a permanent contract * Competitive rate of pay * Fu...
