Desian Education are proud to be working in partnership with a single-form entry primary school in Salford that is easily accessible via public transport and has great motorway links as they are looking to appoint an experienced and reliable teaching assistant for a full-time temporary to permanent contract from September. This is an extremely exciting and rewarding opportunity where you will play a vital role in the education of pupils across the KS2 cohort.

Your new role: As a teaching assistant within this school you will be joining the KS2 cohort, working in collaboration with class teacher to promote the engagement and learning of all pupils across the KS2 classes. You will liaise with class teachers on pupils individual requirements to aid in the preparation and delivery of core subject and comprehensive interventions, including intense sessions with lower/mixed ability pupils.

Other duties will include:

  • SATS preparation including boosters and scribing
  • Implementing positive behaviour strategies
  • Direct liaison with parents/guardians including attending parents evening

What you need to succeed:

  • Full “Right to Work” in the UK
  • Be at least NVQ Level 2 Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent qualified
  • Expert knowledge of the KS2 national curriculum
  • Be able to commit to a full-time contract consisting of 32.5 hours per week
  • Have an Enhanced Children’s DBS certificate or willingness to obtain
