SEN Teaching Assistant - KS2 SEMH Provision
Desian Education are proud to be working in collaboration with a Winsford-based single form entry primary school as they require an experience and reliable teaching assistant to join their team on a full-time temporary basis. Ideally this school are looking for someone to start immediately, but they are willing to postpone the start date until after Christmas for the right individual.
This is an extremely rewarding opportunity where you will play an integral part in the education and emotional development of pupils within a dedicated SEMH resource provision.
Your new role:
As a teaching assistant within this school you will be joining an experience SEMH resource class, working in collaboration with the teacher and other teaching assistants to ensure that the needs of your pupils are at the heart of all operations. Unfortunately the pupils you will be supporting have had a difficult start to life and as such all have varying levels of SEMH and trauma. To support their emotional development you will take a nurturing and trauma-informed approach to all lesson and activity delivery to ensure positive outcomes and to build confidence. You will:
- Integrate into new pupils groups
- Support with ELSA interventions
- Support during break and lunch times
- Work in collaboration with external professionals
