Desian Education is currently partnering with a school in Widnes to recruit a year 1 teacher for a long-term teaching position starting in April 2026. The role is initially for the summer term; however, it could be extended into the 2026/27 academic year. We are welcoming applications from ECTs and experienced teachers.
Your New Role:
- You will be working in a large single form entry primary school in Widnes alongside an experienced teaching and support team who work hard to create an environment where all children can achieve their goals.
- As a year 1 class teacher, you will have full teaching responsibilities which will include:
- Plan and deliver creative, differentiated lessons in line with the KS1 national curriculum.
- Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that promotes emotional well-being and academic progress.
- Work collaboratively with experienced TAs and the wider school team to ensure consistent support for pupils.
- Monitor and assess pupil progress, adapting strategies as needed.
