Desian Education are proud to be supporting a well-regarded mainstream primary school in Widnes. This extremely collaborative and supportive school is looking for an experienced and qualified teaching assistant to join their team on a full-time temporary basis, to play an integral role in the education and learning outcomes of pupils across EYFS & KS1. This is an extremely exciting opportunity to join one of the most highly thought of schools in Halton due to additional funding being secured for the new academic year.

Your new role:

As a teaching assistant within this school, you will lead on individual and small group interventions in key areas including numeracy, literacy, phonics and fine motor skills across the reception and KS1 classes. You will work collaboratively with class teachers, ensuring that each pupil's attainment needs are met whilst associating their key interests with learning to boost engagement and focus.

What you need to succeed:

  • Full “Right to Work” in the UK
  • An NVQ Level 2 Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent qualification
  • Good knowledge of the EYFS and KS1 national curriculum
  • A passion for supporting young learners
  • An Enhanced Children’s DBS Certificate or willingness to obtain
